Samsung Galaxy Note seems to be quite successful. The handset which said to be a combination of tablet and smartphone announced by Samsung has sold 5 million units globally.
On its official website, Samsung claims Galaxy Note count successful sales. It was triggered selling in South Korea that covers 67% of the total sales of Galaxy Note.
According to Samsung, Galaxy Note also the best-selling smartphone in China, France and Spain. Means that since the sale last month of October 2011, Galaxy Note sold an average of a million each month.
But there is doubt that Samsung claims it is not intended as a sale to consumers., but the amount shipped to retailers. However, 5 millions was considered quite impressive for a handset which creates a new category, though still far than the Galaxy S II which has sold around 20 million units.
Galaxy Note with 5.3-inch landscape display, considered as a giant mobile phone. The handset also rely on stylus named S Pen to perform various functions such as drawing and taking notes.
Note currently uses Android Gingerbread, but will soon get an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich. Similarly, as reported by PCWorld and quoted on Thursday (3/29/2012).
